Yesterday, I was talking to my girlfriend about the resume business, which is dead right before Christmas, as you might expect. I complained a little about the slowness of work, and then said (approximately) "Watch, now that I did that, karma will send me three unhappy clients tomorrow." And presto, it happened! Two of them drained most of my day. I sure can call 'em.
