Fun with Google

Hey, look! I have a Wikipedia entry! Tee hee. Can you edit your own Wikipedia entry as long as it's factual?

Hey, look! A bad review of my book has been up on NewPages since the beginning of October, and I just found out about it! Tee hee. I think "It's another small-town isolation of a bruised, insular kid, using his slightly above-average intelligence to justify his misanthropic judgments" is one for the blurb file. Baffling logic plus inaccurate ad hominem, yay!

Hey, look! I'm officially going to be reading at the InKY Reading Series in Louisville come May. Hurray!

Hey, look! My poems from Beloit Poetry Journal are online, and I didn't realize it. They're also in the book.
Comments:
Please tell me that you're going to include that blurb in a "Praise for Steven Schroeder's Torched Verse Ends" bit in your next book.

Aw, Steve, I'm sorry.

Don't be sorry. Most of the news is good, and the one that isn't is funny.

James: I will do my best. I have some really good ones.

I like the backhanded compliment of "slightly."

I think someone's going around creating wikipedia pages for poets...

To be honest, I'm not even actually sure what the reviewer is really trying to say about your book!

Love the wikipedia entry...now I want one!

I think it's kind of funny that she slipped into the Royal "we" at the end of the interview, as though she had just found her crown.

We were amused by that too...
