Steve's Silly Little Projects (TM)
I always have silly little projects (poetry and otherwise) to keep me occupied during short downtimes. My current Silly Little Poetry Project: putting together mini-chapbooks of my 13 favorite poems by a given poet. First up: Weldon Kees. An easy place to start because I like his work a lot, already know half the lineup without thinking about it (the Robinson poems, "For My Daughter," "The Beach"), and can figure out the rest easily because he didn't write a huge amount. I'll post the lineup once it's finished.

I love Weldon Kees. Have you read Reidel's bio?
Aside from the ones you mention, here are a few of my favorites: "What the Spider Heard," "Early Winter," "Fugue," and "Eight Variations."
Have you read my poem, "Pantoum on a Line by Weldon Kees?" It was in the Valparaiso Poetry Review a while ago.
I'm looking forward to the list.

That's a great project. (Why thirteen?)
I used to dream of publishing -- physically printing myself -- a little uniform edition of selected poems by thirty or forty New York School poets. C'mon Mega Millions! let's make this happen.

Jeff: Haven't read your poem, though I do recall you being in VPR. I'll definitely check it out.
Jordan: 13 because 10-20 seemed like a good number to really force me to make some tough choices and not just make all the safest, easiest picks, and I have sort of an OCD thing for 13.
