Just wondering

Is it bad that I graduated from college 8 years ago, but I still regularly have dreams where I'm signed up for a class I need to graduate, and I haven't been to class all semester?

Comments:
I too recently had a college stress dream...only Halle Berry was somehow involved. Perhaps your blog isn't the best place to discuss this.

I have those dreams for both college and high school -- and I've been out a lot longer than 8 years. They're triggered by anxiety.

Are you wearing clothes in the dream?

I periodically have dreams of being back in high school -- also, sometimes, back at old jobs I've had previously -- and I'm usually late for class (or for work). Typically in the dreams, the physical layout of the building I'm in (the school or wherever) has changed entirely, so I'm not only late but I can't find my way around anywhere.

As Reb commented, I think the dreams (when I have them) are related to anxiety -- usually, for me, vague not very intense anxiety. I also relate them to the ancient labyrinth myths. Which might mean I can find something useful or of value in the labyrinthine settings, if I pay close enough attention. So far, though, I haven't spotted anything...

I have that dream too. It's always science. I walk in after being absent for the entire semester, and try to take the final exam, undetected.

No.

It is bad when you graduated from college THIRTY-TWO years ago and have such dreams.

I graduated high school in 1995 and I left the Navy in 2000 after living on a nuclear submarine for three years. I'd find it difficult to describe a melding of those two environments in the same nightmare, but it's happened more than once.
