Thank you sir, may I have another

Apparently journals wait until right before President's Day weekend to send their rejections, as I got four(!) in the mail today after weeks of nothing. The best (if there is such a thing) was a really nice note from Ninth Letter, which is a badass journal I really wanted to get into. The other rejections were from Poetry Northwest, ALR, and Georgetown Review.

Comments:
Me too! Rejection city, baby!

I still have some poems out and one no-response (ten months & counting). Rejection sucks. I'm sorry. I still think you're grand. =)

I made myself Angel food cake to make up for my four (Georgia Review, Poetry, Black Warrior, and Women's Studies Quarterly) - cake covers a multitude of evils. I guess what we have to remember is to get them back out as fast as they come in...carry on :)

Not me. I have at least six overdue submissions---two of which are now at 8 months. Still, I expect all of them to be rejections, eventually.

Drat. Keep trying!
