Comments:
Steve, how many hours a week do you invest in editing the annual issue of EM, and what percentage of the submissions do you yourself read?

Thanks. Love your work.

I usually put in a couple hours a week on Eleventh Muse stuff, though it's a lot more from November through January, when I'm really putting the issue together. I skim all the submissions myself, send back the ones that obviously aren't right, send the ones that seem okay out to readers for a real reading, and even occasionally keep one that really jumps out at me for acceptance without sending it to readers first.
