Miscellany

I'm working today on updating my writing CV, compiling a small portfolio of my best poems, signing up for the GREs, and e-mailing three people. I bet you can guess what that means, and it's three letters long!

The spamsters finally found my blog, so word verification has been turned on. Sorry... For the Best of Poetry Online feature:
"Empty Room Blues" by H. L. Hix (The Melic Review)
"Ultrasound" by A. E. Stallings (32 Poems)

I'm not in a place right now where I'm enjoying things very much, writing or blogging or anything else. Still, I'll keep on going until I work it out.

Comments:
What programs are you applying to? I'm applying this year as well.

Applying to Vandy?

I hear the application fee is being waived if you submit online.

Best of luck on the apps! MFA or PhD (I'm totally ignorant of such things).

I go thru lots of phases where I can't write/hate writing. I always snap out of them without warning. Keep your chin up. I didn't get the chance to send those books out. I'll do it today. My parents have been here since Fri and life has been crazy stressful.

Right now I'm applying to Vanderbilt (seeing that note on your blog was one of the things that spurred me to do this, A.D.), WashU St. Louis and Mizzou St. Louis (my best friend lives there), and probably a couple more.

Very cool.

Good luck.

Good luck, man.

Thanks, guys. Add Colorado State to the list...
